The Seychelles Tennis Association (STA) hosted its Annual General Meeting (AGM) at Olympic House on December 27, 2024, from 5 PM to 7:30 PM. The event saw the participation of enthusiastic members keen to discuss the association’s future and elect its new leadership.
The highlight of the evening was the election of the new committee, signaling a renewed commitment to advancing tennis in Seychelles. The newly elected committee members are:
- President: Fatime Kanté
- Secretary: Philip Brioche
- Treasurer: Telma Sinon
- Ordinary Members:
- Marlon Orr
- Christophe Gabriel
- Geva Chetty
- Merna Albert
Re-elected President Fatime Kanté, who has served since 2019, expressed her gratitude:
"I am honored to lead STA once again and look forward to collaborating with our dedicated committee to foster the growth of tennis in our nation. Together, we will promote inclusivity, support our local talent, and nurture a love for the sport. Thank you for believing in our team; let’s stay united."
The STA also expressed its appreciation to outgoing committee members for their dedication and contributions over the years.
The AGM was attended by key stakeholders, including Miss Jennifer Bonne from the National Sports Council (NSC) and Mr. Jeffrey Lagrenade from the Seychelles Olympic and Commonwealth Games Association (SOCGA).
During the meeting, members approved several key documents:

- Financial Statements for 2022 and 2023
- Updated By-laws
The new committee is now tasked with tackling challenges and implementing strategies to enhance tennis development across the country.
