The Africa Human Capital Summit 2023 took place in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania with the aim of driving Africa’s economic growth and enhancing youth productivity and employment opportunities by tackling learning poverty and skill gaps.

Distinguished attendees included Minister Marie Celine Zialor, the Minister for Youth, Sports, and Family, and Merna Eulentin, the Principal Secretary for Education Services of the Ministry of Education. The summit focused on high-level discussions and commitments to human capital, highlighting the economic benefits of investing in people and identifying effective strategies for the region’s economic development.

Key topics covered during the summit encompassed skills and job prospects for Africa’s potential, foundational learning, empowerment of women and girls, and the significance of nutrition in building human capital. Alongside heads of state and ministers, renowned experts, philanthropists, and government officials also attended the summit, which received support from the World Bank.
