In an electrifying showdown, three distinguished candidates went head-to-head in a bid for the CAT presidency. Jean-Claude Talon from Benin, Nelson Amanze from Botswana, and Issa Mboup from Senegal painted bold visions for the future of CAT.

After an intense electoral showdown, the resolute Mr. Jean-Claude Talon emerged victorious in the second round of voting, securing 25 votes against Nelson Amanze's 12. With this mandate, Mr. Talon takes the reins as the 9th President of CAT, succeeding the incumbent Tunisian President, Mr. Tarak Chérif, who held the role since 2004.

But that's not all! The CAT General Assembly had much more in store. It witnessed the triumphant appointment of key positions within CAT's Executive Committee, and the representation of various African zones.
