Originally, the first deadline for federations and associations to submit nominees for the prestigious awards ceremony was set for January 10. Unfortunately, only five nomination forms were received by the deadline, representing Karting, Dart, Handball, Judo, and Athletics.

In response to the limited submissions, federations and associations have been granted an extended opportunity to nominate outstanding athletes. The selection committee views this extension as a reasonable delay, affording stakeholders more time to put forth their best candidates.

However, in the event that federations and associations fail to submit additional nominations within the given timeframe, the selection committee will take charge of the nomination process to ensure a comprehensive representation of Seychelles' sporting excellence.
