Comprehensive Overview of Search Operation and Investigation Shared

President Wavel Ramkalawan, accompanied by Vice-President Ahmed Afif, convened a meeting yesterday afternoon with the relatives of the three fishermen from the Takamaka district David Suzette, Hansley Denis, and Steve Burka who were declared lost at sea on November 16, 2023.

Present at the gathering were Hon. Terrence Mondon, the National Assembly member for Takamaka; Major Hans Radegonde from the Seychelles Coast Guard; Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Antoine Denousse; district administrator Cynthia Hariba; Dominique Savy from the Seychelles Civil Aviation Authority; and other key officials directly involved in the case.

Held at the Takamaka community centre, the meeting served as an opportunity for President Ramkalawan and his delegation to provide a comprehensive overview of the 11-day search and rescue operation for the missing fishermen.

The families were briefed on the current status of the ongoing investigation. Importantly, family members had a chance to engage in direct discussions with the President and seek answers to any queries or issues they needed assistance with.
